What a lovely speaker you are! Everything you’ve done in your life has prepared you for such perfect articulation of what everyone needs to acknowledge for the sake of our very existence and mental health. Thank you. 🙏
As someone who studied information science, it is so important for people to understand how chronic engagement with mass amounts of information daily has an effect on our mind and communities (especially developing minds). Thank you for your activism!
I really appreciate that you often represent the necessary but often minority view on some of the most critical issue of our lifetimes (although some may not acknowledge it now). The fact is that those companies' algorithms' goals are to maximise profits. And if they did not cause side effects or harm anyone's mental health, I would agree with them and say, "Absolutely. Go for it!" But we know that is not reality. Bullying will continue. The loneliness will continue and protecting profits and the companies' bottom line will prevail regardless of the harm to users until they finally quit, which will be difficult since so many are addicts, although they don't recongnise the signs. For that and so many other reasons, thank you for bringing this issue to the attention to the UN when so many of us feel the same but don't have the ability to do the same.
Hi Joe - echoing the other’s appreciation of your platform to speak out for human-centered AI guardrails and regulation. As one who works with AI daily and am involved in a number of AI communities advocating for responsible AI, I applaud your platform. I also live in Hollywood and have been following its impacts on entertainment - and an owner of one of your HitRecord books. :) I see that you’re speaking tomorrow at CES C Space as part of the Variety programming. It doesn’t say what you’re speaking on, but I’m guessing that you may want to know about a recent interview Gary Shapiro, the CEO of CES/CTA, had with Investors Business Daily: https://youtu.be/K9P1aVtt71k?t=362. He applauded Trump’s recent EO aiming to punish states for their current or planned AI regulation legislation. He said the Fed gov should be the one to reg AI, even though none exists and never will under the current regime. He used the same excuse of needing to be competitive with China, even though China has AI regulations. I am hoping the livestream of your talk will be available as some of the other C Space sessions have been. If not, it would be amazing to get your recap of what you saw and shared. Thanks again!
Really phenomenal accomplishment and opportunity! It is so important, VITAL even, that we put safeguards on this swiftly growing technology. I feel, however, that America will be the last to do it. Unfortunately, I fear your words on living in a democracy, are swiftly changing as well.
Thank you so much for your excellent work in this area. I'll be teaching a course at DePaul University this spring called "Attention Grabbed: Mind, Media and Manipulation" and I'm going to have my students watch this speech.
As an Australian, I can only say the law they implemented did not work as well as it said it would. I have heard many stories of kids getting past the id and still having social media accounts.
However, i like the fact they put it place and made an attempt to fix the issue. I always feel gratitude when they do something and not stand by and say nothing as thousands of teenagers attempt to take their own life due to the bullying at school and online.
What an amazing opportunity! Such a wonderfully empowering and eloquent speech! It's an inspiration to see your passion and magnetism translate to all of your endeavors. Kudos!
Love your activism and positive messaging! Thank you for all you do!

So proud of you, JGL❤️ Your passion is infectious. Keep up the good work. 💙
Great message. Thanking the civil servants is something we need more of these days. Thanks for sharing.

So I reported you to three different entities. Do you know which ones? I’m sure you do.

Oh Joe…I couldn’t disagree with you more. AI OFFERS NO POTENTIAL TO DO ANY GOOD. Really. Rethink this please.
how cool is it that ‘Lil Tommy’ grew up to address the United Nations! 🥰
Whoaa your doing amazing!!!!
Appreciate your voice so much. Thank you.
Thanks, Joe. 🙏🏼
Brave on.
