Literally got back from Barcelona last night! 3 loads of washing done already and now about to go through the photos (some for HR). Sunburnt, sore feet from all the walking but definitely enriched and inspired by being somewhere else for a bit x hope you are well my lovely!?
You seem deeply aware of the worlds troubles and injustices. When the weight of all that’s wrong threatens to crush the spirit, how do you keep from losing hope without turning away from the truth or ignoring it like so many do?
"For the last number of decades, a lot of the most popular stories, songs, and artists, that's their main thing, is like, me, me, me, me, me, me, isn't it great to be so rich? That's a lot of what you see on TV, it's a lot of what you see on the movies, a lot of what you hear in pop music, and now it's what we're seeing in our democracy.
So, I do wonder about a pop culture that is less about the sort of worship of money and luxury goods and things like that and and more about the more subtle beautiful parts of existence. If our pop culture evolved in that way that maybe way downstream, democracy would follow."
This part too:
"I could be going to wherever, to someplace completely unremarkable. And if I'm with people that I love, that's what makes it, that's what makes it for me. It's always about the people."
Keep sharing your thoughts and stay safe, stay well, stay positive.
Pleasure to hear your words, as always, Mr. Gordon-Levitt. Questions for you: Considering your body of work as an actor, what do you want your legacy to be? Do you have a fantasy legacy role? Thank you for your thoughtful journals & genuine energy. 🫶 from BREWTONIA.
Hey Joe, I don't have questions, but first, I want to thank you so much for both the video and the transcript (for my brain, it's much easier to follow and enjoy the video if I read first); second, your mention of the Well-Tempered Clavier for Arthur sounded like genius to me! Third, I miss the projects on HR, but I'm so happy for this opportunity to follow you here and "meet" other HR fellows. You are always inspiring.
As a GenX er ❤️David Bowie. Very proud that I recently went down a glorious rabbit hole of his albums. Discovered over 20 songs I had never heard before. My new favorite song of all time is one of Mr Bowies is Where are We Now. He recorded it in New York lead single of his Album The Next Day. Released on his Birthday. Don’t care for modern entertainment of the last 20 + years broke my heart when record stores closed. But yes so many choices to listen to today. Love music movies etc from the 20’s-to about the 90’s. Old classic radio shows the theatre of the mind in the dark are my absolute favorite. Dramas comedy’s mystery’s you name it just love them
Any Plans to sing with Miss Piggy again like you did on The Muppets 2015. It’s been 10 years since you sang Fly Me To The Moon together. I think its time 😉🐷👱🏼♀️
You’re such a cool 😎 cat, Mr. Gordon-Levitt! I hold such admiration for your work, and that you seem to keep busy doing wonderful things with your time! You regularly surprise me in a happy way!
Thank you so much for all the entertainment throughout the years! You’re amazing! 🤩
Recently saw your movie - Killer Heat, which I enjoyed. Was it actually filmed on location in Greece and did you have to learn the language.? Also since you were discussing your playlist for roles.. Did you listen to any Greek music for that role?

Welcome home 🤍🇪🇸🇬🇧
So cool that Joe chose your question!

Good question, timely and timeless
Miss you, from 3rd Rock from The Sun! Thanks for the Q & A <3
I love these videos! Please keep up your art and view— it’s refreshing to hear with the sound of reality and hope, all in one. :)
Thanks for answering our questions! I really enjoy listening to your anecdotes and honestly, there's so much more I wanna ask you! 😂😊

Do you find your personality changes with each role as an individual?

He did learn a little Greek for the movie
